RHG Church sponsored schools

1) SIKA Primary School in Mageta island, Siaya County.

Found in Mitundu sub-location, Mageta location, Bondo constituency in Siaya county, with registration number 41512000555, the school was initiated in the year 2010.

It has 318 pupils (158 boys and 160 girls). For the year 2019 KCPE, the school has enrolled 27 candidates (20 boys and 7girls). The teaching staff are only 12, of which 7 are on the TSC payroll, 3 employed by the PTA while 2 are ECD trained teachers.

Payment for the PTA teachers, provision of teaching and learning materials, feeding programme for the pupils and fence for the school compound, are the critical challenges for school that needs to be urgently addressed.

 
 

(3) AKONJO Primary School in Migori County.

Located in Akonjo village, Kamgundho location, Irito Constituency in Migori County, this school was started way back in January 1984.

It has 490 pupils with 16 teaching staff, 11 of which are TSC teachers, 3 are PTA teachers and 2 ECD trained teachers.
The main critical challenges the school faces are inadequate classrooms and teachers’ houses. Lack of clean water for the school is also a fundamental challenge that requires urgent attention.

(4) KAMASI Primary School in Homabay County

Having been established in 1977 in South Kabura location, Kanyidoto Ward, Ndhiwa Constituency in Homabay County, the school has 331 pupils (174 boys and 157 girls). It has only 9 teaching staff of which 7 are TSC employed and 2 are employed by the schools Board of Management.

Availability of water for the school, inadequate classrooms (only 8 classrooms which requires finishing), inadequate school toilets and teachers’ houses are the critical challenges the school is facing that needs assistance for.

(5) OTULA Primary School in Homabay County.

Located in Kawere East Sub-location, Kasipul Division, South Rachuonyo Sub-County in Homabay County, with registration number G/PE/12144/14, the school was initiated in 1980.

Currently it comprises of 448 pupils (214 girls and 234 boys). For the 2019 KCPE enrolment, the school has enrolled 33 candidates (24 boys and 9 girls).
It has only12 teachers, 7 of them are on TSC payroll, 3 by the PTA and 2 are employed by the county government. The non teaching staff are only 2.
Lack of water for the school, proper school fence and storage facilities are the main challenges the school is facing that needs to be urgently addressed.
